Male breast reduction (Gynaecomastia)

Total out of pocket expenses $6,000 - $9,000 all inclusive

It’s a lot more common than people think for a man to develop ‘man boobs’, but we can all understand how embarrassed and insecure it can make you feel. It’s important to remember you’re not alone.

Male breasts (or gynaecomastia) happens to lots of men and in many cases the cause is simply unknown. Some men who’ve gained weight find that fatty deposits round the waist are mimicked by the body in the chest region. Steroids and certain drugs can be a cause and sometimes its just genes.

Whatever the cause – glandular tissue, excessive fat, or sometimes both – it can be treated. A successful and uniform result normally involves removing fatty deposits and any excess breast tissue that has developed through a small incision at the juncture of the nipple, which avoids visible scarring.
